The acorns were most sensitive, and next the leaves, little ridges of bark lined with wisdom and with age. With each kind touch the foliage rustled, sun-warm and sun-light, branches softened from something older—something more brittle. Each spine could be felt. Each blade was so alive, even after all these many years. 

The Grand Oak Tree sat for the first time in a long time, the nearest remembrance of such an occasion, and felt the soft earth against soft roots, bark-bent knees spread wide. 

‘My hands have been in many holes before, my fine floral friend,’ Zevran said, pressed tight between them and buried to the elbow in a knotted hollow, returning the acorn to its proper place, ‘but none have ever been quite so…deep.’

So I might… have a confession to make.

Someone we all know might have submitted a certain confession for the lulz in the hopes that someone would actually write this and everyone could have a good laugh about it.

And that someone may have just read this and spit water all over her bed and began cackling uncontrollably… and of course it would be logical to assume that someone’s roommate would ask what that person is laughing at, and there would be no good answer because how do you even use the phrase “tree porn”?
